What is a vanadium flow battery?
A vanadium redox flow battery stores energy in liquid electrolyte held in external tanks. Pumps circulate the electrolyte through a cell stack during charging and discharge. The design lets engineers select power and energy capacity with greater independence than in many packaged batteries.
